The Role: Commissioning and Test Engineer

My client is seeking a Commissioning and Test Engineer with solar photovoltaic experience. The successful Commissioning and Test Engineer shall be working onsite in New Jersey.

My clients group, develops, design, installs, and operates solar Photovoltaic (PV) systems for commercial customers throughout America. 

The Commissioning and Test Engineer provides technical support, oversight and accountability during the design, procurement, construction and commissioning of the project.

Key Responsibilities: Commissioning and Test Engineer

The successful Commissioning and Test Engineer shall have a hands-on approach with solar PV installation throughout the course of the project. Previous experience with Solar PV installation is paramount for this Commissioning and Test Engineer role.

• Ensuring that standards of Health, Safety, Security, and Environment are promoted, implemented, and followed.
• To oversee site acceptance tests and work productively with Project Engineers for major equipment and systems.
• To provide support to the Commissioning manager at the final stages of the project.
• Construction installations of the solar PV system  and Commissions the equipment.

The Person: Commissioning and Test Engineer

The Commissioning and Test Engineer should have strong leadership skills and have extensive experience working on Solar based projects with solar photovoltaic (PV).

Ideally the commissioning and test engineer should have a degree or related technical program of study. Any qualifications within Electrical or electronics is a desirable.

At least three project completions with Solar Photovoltaic or Power Generation projects

Interviews shall commence next week with a start date expected early October 2010.

The hourly rate is up to $70 for a 12months contract.
