Job Information

Real Goods Solar is looking for an experienced Site Supervisor in the Mid-Atlantic region to oversee commercial solar installations.
 
Key Responsibilities:

  • Onsite coordination with site owners
  • Oversight of all subcontractors
  • Daily progress reporting to Project Manager
  • Material and equipment (M&E) inventory control
  • Review and acknowledgement of bill of materials completeness and accuracy
  • M&E delivery receipt and turnover to subcontractor
  • Onsite safety and quality compliance documentation
  • Ensure system construction in accordance with design drawings
  • Develop punchlists and ensure timely completion
  • Support system commissioning activities
  • Facilitate inspections and final walkthroughs
  • Provide input to estimator to qualify opportunity install features – enhancements

 
Essential Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of electrical construction (journeyman) experience – preferably in commercial solar installation
  • Thorough understanding of NEC and local electrical code
  • Licensed electrician preferred
  • NABCEP certification preferred
  • Competent at reading and understanding electrical design drawings
  • Well-versed in OSHA standards for fall protection and electrical safety
  • Current OSHA 10-hour training preferred
  • Experienced in data systems, metering, signal wiring and power systems a plus
  • Computer skills to include MS Office – Word, Excel and Project
  • Willingness to travel up to 100% for extended periods (3-6 months)
