Job Information |
Real Goods Solar is looking for an experienced Site Supervisor in the Mid-Atlantic region to oversee commercial solar installations. Key Responsibilities:
- Onsite coordination with site owners
- Oversight of all subcontractors
- Daily progress reporting to Project Manager
- Material and equipment (M&E) inventory control
- Review and acknowledgement of bill of materials completeness and accuracy
- M&E delivery receipt and turnover to subcontractor
- Onsite safety and quality compliance documentation
- Ensure system construction in accordance with design drawings
- Develop punchlists and ensure timely completion
- Support system commissioning activities
- Facilitate inspections and final walkthroughs
- Provide input to estimator to qualify opportunity install features – enhancements
Essential Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of electrical construction (journeyman) experience – preferably in commercial solar installation
- Thorough understanding of NEC and local electrical code
- Licensed electrician preferred
- NABCEP certification preferred
- Competent at reading and understanding electrical design drawings
- Well-versed in OSHA standards for fall protection and electrical safety
- Current OSHA 10-hour training preferred
- Experienced in data systems, metering, signal wiring and power systems a plus
- Computer skills to include MS Office – Word, Excel and Project
- Willingness to travel up to 100% for extended periods (3-6 months)
