SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS
We’re looking for an experienced Marketing Director to lead all aspects of our marketing initiatives for our Distributed Generation/Commercial Segment.
The primary functions of this role will be to develop a marketing plan to attract new commercial clients, actively manage multiple marketing campaigns, and support the sales teams with customized product collateral and presentations for key vertical markets.
The ideal candidate will have a successful track record of B2B sales, preferably in renewable, and of launching B2B product and marketing initiatives that have exceeded sales goals.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Develop, lead and implement a marketing strategy to attract and win commercial clients. Work with sales management to target industry verticals such as retailers, school districts, city governments, military bases, etc.
· Craft marketing initiatives and advertising campaigns to generate leads and improve sales.
· Recommend marketing mix of online and traditional media with both direct and through partner reach. Continually evaluate and optimize campaigns based on ROI metrics.
· Be the point of contact for all commercial marketing activity. Support Commerical Sales Managers throughout the sales cycle, including RFP input, email touch points, sales presentations and proposal format. Work with Sales to develop and co-present programs with a customized marketing component.
QUALIFICATIONS
· 5+ years of experience in B2B marketing, developing campaigns and marketing materials. Experience in solar industry a plus.
· B2B online and traditional lead generation experience, preferably in renewables.
· Bachelor’s degree or higher in related field, preferable business, marketing or communications.
· Creativity to develop compelling marketing programs and advertising campaigns.
· Proven success in launching campaigns from inception through full integration.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Comfortable creating original content. Adept at crafting and delivering PowerPoint presentations.
· Ability to lead and motivate internal cross-functional peers and external business partners. Work with all levels of management, including senior executives.
· Experience working in a fast paced, entrepreneurial, team environment. Ability to respond quickly to changing priorities and competently manage multiple project initiatives at once.
· Occasional domestic travel to staff tradeshow events and present to clients.
· Highly proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). SalesForce a plus.
