The Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) seeks a Commercial Manager with foodservice emphasis for its Americas Regional Office.  MSC is the world’s leading certification and eco-labeling program for wild capture fisheries. Through its certification and labelling program, the MSC contributes to reversing decline in global fish stocks by identifying and rewarding and creating marketing incentives for sustainable fisheries.

Reporting to the Commercial Director – Americas, this Commercial Manager – Americas position is responsible for developing, implementing, tracking, and management of the commercial food service outreach program in Canada and the United States. Outreach activities are mainly focused on targeted broadline and specialty seafood distributors servicing foodservice outlets, and directly on chain and independent foodservice operators. Successful outcomes will include increased purchasing and sales of MSC-certified and labelled products, and increased consumer awareness through these outlets.  There is also responsibility for some processor and retail partner outreach and support.

The job holder will be part of the MSC’s Americas regional team and will participate in the collective strategic planning and development of the organization in the region.

This is an exciting role with potential to make a significant difference in sustainability of commercial fishing. It requires poise and maturity, exceptional presentational and communication skills, extensive business experience, excellent organizational and management abilities, proven leadership skills, and the ability to manage multiple obligations simultaneously.  See the full job description and list of desired qualifications, including 5 plus years of relevant experience.
