My client is a leading manufacturer of wind turbines internationally that has an exceptional track record in the European industry. Due to increased demand across Europe, Asia and South America my client is in the process of developing projects across 5 continents and expanding their offshore wind team. They have developed a technically solid and proven generator that is increasing in demand internationally.

 

Position Overview:

My client requires a Commercial Director with a strong technical background in the wind industry. They require as senior sales professional to manage the sales team in Portugal and Spain and develop commercial growth. You will report directly to the European Commercial Director and senior level executives within the company.

 

Responsibilities

  • ·         This position will involve leading a team of approximately 10 sales engineers across Spain and Portugal in order to attract new business for the Wind Turbine manufacture
  • ·         You will be required to developed relationships with new clients, negotiate and carry through the business process including pricing and terms and conditions and large scale contract negotiations
  • ·         You will utilise your strong sales team and management skills to achieve top level results within this growing company
  • ·         Train the sale team on the product in order for them to best promote the wind turbines
  • ·         Close deals with clients within the framework of the companies requirements while ensuring the happiness of the client
  • ·         Perform to the highest standard in order to encourage brand awareness and quality awareness for the company
  • ·         Lead a team of turbine sales consultants within the Spanish and Portuguese market and encourage a develop their sales through training and implementation of sales techniques
  • ·         Work with company directors in order to best promote the product for the company

 

Education

A relevant degree in either engineering or business management minimum

Core Requirements:-

  • ·         At least 10-15 years’ post-degree experience in the a sales role
  • ·         Minimum of 5-10 years working in the wind turbines
  • ·         1-3 years technical experience in the wind industry
  • ·         Experience in developing and maintaining customer relationships
  • ·         Advanced spoken and written English with Spanish or Portuguese a must
  • ·         Able and willing to live and work in Spain
  • ·         Experience in a management experience

  • ·         Ability to communicate across all levels of an organization
  • ·         Ability to work under deadline pressure and deliver high quality results
  • ·         Strong presentation skills
  • ·         A desire to work in a target driven role

Wind Turbine sales, team leading and training and strong negotiation skills, sales director, wind engineering, wind generators, management experience, Spain and Portugal.
