We seek a Coastal Louisiana Technical Analyst to gather and interpret technical information and assist the Coastal Louisiana Restoration Campaign in bridging the gap between science and policy. This person will interact with scientists and technical experts summarize research and other findings, review documents, and identify opportunities to advance the Coastal Louisiana restoration agenda. This person will participate in translating technical information into education and outreach about coastal Louisiana wetland restoration initiatives both in state and nationally to ensure an ecologically sound restoration plan for Louisiana's coast. This includes working with NWF organizers to ensure that sound information informs outreach campaigns, gathering and organizing technical information that is pertinent to the positions and messages of the NWF Coastal Louisiana Restoration campaign, and identifying data gaps that may hamper our campaign.

The Technical Analyst will work with the Campaign Manager / Coastal Louisiana Restoration on partnership and coalition development and other activities that serve the campaign goals of NWF's Coastal Louisiana Restoration program. This may involve national legislative and regulatory issues. The position will represent NWF in partnerships and speaking engagements focused on coastal Louisiana Restoration. The position will work in coordination with NWF Coastal Louisiana campaign staff, our NGO partners, our state affiliate, the Louisiana Wildlife Federation, and the program staff at the South Central Regional Center located in Austin, TX.
