Description

Main duties:

  • Assist the Head of Competence Center Big Cats.
  • Promoting and strengthening FOUR PAWS projects involving Big Cats.
  • Conducting research on relevant topics to strengthen project work.
  • Running small projects on his/her own.
  • Managing project teams and ensuring communication between various departments.
  • Being responsible for the delivery, maintenance and adherence to project standards.
  • Coordinating inputs from other stakeholders and monitor project implementation, impact and lessons learnt. 

Requirements:

  • University degree in biology, veterinary medicine, applied animal behavior and welfare, applied geography, natural resource management, environmental management or natural sciences.
  • Very good knowledge of and proven experience working with wild animals in captivity.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in project management, site management or logistics preferably with team leadership experience .
  • Excellent communication skills in English (written and oral), German, Dutch an asset.
  • Great affinity to animal welfare and FOUR PAWS values and issues.
  • Independent working style and exceptional customer orientation.
  • Highly motivated, hands-on, open-minded and initiative, charming and creative personality.
  • Willingness and ability to travel in Germany and internationally.
