Department
The Corporate Safety and Environment department is part of the People and Culture Business Unit. We develop the corporate sustainability strategy, implement and coordinate cross-organizational improvement projects and provide support within the Health, Safety and Environmental area to the Vestas organization.

As our experienced Climate Specialist your responsibility is to develop Vestas and to take the lead on the journey of achieving our objectives of becoming “As Green As It Gets” within the climate area. You will be our corporate specialist and advisor within the climate area and with your enthusiastic attitude you will ensure ongoing development and implementation of corporate climate initiatives.
Responsibilities and Tasks
Your main responsibilities will be to develop, implement and continuously follow up on global/ corporate/strategic climate initiatives and projects. Furthermore your responsibilities will be to:

•   Develop and take the lead on implementing Vestas Corporate Climate strategy
•   Follow up and communicate specific activities such as our building policy, car policy etc
•   Perform Sustainability audits and report findings. Evaluate and provide recommendations
•   Develop and ensure strong follow-up on significant climate/energy aspects and targets
Qualifications and Work Experience
•   Masters’ degree preferably in Natural Science, Technology or Environmental Science
•   High level of experience (5+ years) in energy or climate management/consulting for
    production and/or service companies
•   Experience with the political side of climate changes will be advantageous
•   ISO 14001 Lead auditor
•   Good project management skills
•   Strong analytical skills
•   Strong Cooperation and communication skills
•   Cultural understanding / international experience
•   Fluent in English
