At Perspectives we offer globally leading expertise and experience in high quality advisory services on international climate policy, climate finance and carbon markets with high ecological standards and a scientific approach. We are registered in Germany and operate offices in Zurich (Switzerland), Alicante (Spain) and Mülheim (Germany). In early 2016, we will open an additional office in Freiburg in Southern Germany. Our international team consults private and public sector clients all over the world. Perspectives is internationally recognised for its outstanding contribution to the advancement of the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) and innovative future orientated carbon market activities, as well as climate policy and finance approaches such as Nationally Appropriate Mitigation Action (NAMAs). We are closely following the UNFCCC negotiations and provide related advisory services to key parties and other stakeholders on how to shape an ambitious and effective new global climate agreement.
Perspectives is currently seeking a highly motivated, skilled and communicative individual to strengthen and expand our consultancy team in Germany and Switzerland.
Position Title: Climate Policy Consultant: Climate Finance Expert Work Location: Freiburg, Germany Start of work: As soon as possible Scope of work: Full time
The tasks of the employee will encompass in particular: a) management of and contributions to various consultancy projects (see below for list of likely thematic areas), and b) management of and contributions to offer writing processes.
Service-oriented communication with clients and other third parties as well as representing the company (e.g. through presentations at conferences and contributions to capacity building activities in developing countries) are other key aspects of the job.
Relevant thematic areas include: Climate Finance, Nationally Appropriate Mitigation Action (NAMAs), Intended Nationally Determined Contributions (INDCs), Carbon Market Mechanisms, Emission Trading Schemes and Adaptation to Climate Change.
