Climate-KIC Network Developer

Paragon Europe is looking for a Climate-KIC Network Developer to join its Project Management Unit in its Head Office in Malta.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure efficient and effective collaboration between the local consortium partners, organising regular meetings and updating on progress made;
• Coordinate the engagement of the regional partnership in activities;
• Enhance the company’s capacity to apply for Climate-KIC project funding and support within the programmes of the Climate-KIC Innovation Framework targeting different stages of the innovation lifecycle;
• Together with the local programme managers, ensure the effective and efficient delivery of activities in the EIT RIS country and connect it to local activities and initiatives;
• Leverage regional and national contacts and participate in the recruiting of high-level participants for activities;
• Ensure coherence with the region’s structural funds programme and attract other sources of funding from corporate sponsors;
• Participate in regular EIT RIS partner meetings and contribute to the annual planning of activities.

Qualifications

• BA in Economics, Education or similar; further post-graduate training in climate change, energy efficiency and economics will be considered an asset.

Experience

• A working understanding of how EU funding instruments operate in Malta, prioritising ERDF and ESIF programmes over H2020.
• Have experience of the innovation space through a private or public sector background, with an understanding of how the academic/ research sectors work.
• 6 years plus experience in similar position providing evidence of his/her performance;
• Experience in coordinating, managing and leveraging large projects, with a focus on climate change and energy efficiency.
• The ability to identify and source private sponsors to complement programme funding.
