Our Community Engagement Apprenticeship within our newly created Climate and Ecological Emergency Unit will consist of an 18-month long opportunity to build on your organisational and communication skills and apply your ‘can-do’ attitude whilst working towards a Level 4 Public Relations and Communications Assistant qualification. 

The Job:

Working in the Climate and Ecological Emergency Unit for the Council you will:

  • To support with providing high-level support and advice to the relevant stakeholders on the Council’s approach to community engagement, social action and consultation in the context of addressing the climate and ecological emergency.
  • Assist in producing reports to be presented to senior management and stakeholders.  
  • To work with the Communications and the Coproduction Teams to ensure that the Council’s engagement is coordinated, appropriate and effective, based on the continuum of information, consultation, engagement, co-design and coproduction.
  • Develop professional relationships with our community stakeholders and communities to further the delivery of the Council priority of addressing the climate and ecological emergency.
  • Build on your existing communication skills, gain invaluable experience and build your self-confidence through your day-to-day workplace activities.
