ICF International has joined forces with Jones & Stokes, one of the premier multidisciplinary environmental consulting firms in the western United States. ICF Jones & Stokes is a leader in analyzing the environmental impacts associated with climate change, specifically as they relate to compliance with California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) in both the private and public sectors. ICF Jones & Stokes has developed numerous policy whitepapers on how to best address climate change as part of environmental regulation compliance and works to implement these recommendations on projects of all sizes and types.
ICF International plays a key role in the development of international greenhouse gas protocols for all major economic sectors and assists in the preparation of multiple national emission inventories (including the United States greenhouse gas inventory) and numerous statewide emission inventories (including the state of California greenhouse gas inventory). The need to reduce the climate change impacts of human activities (through greenhouse gas mitigation) and to adapt to a future with some level of climate change (through infrastructure development) is one of the preeminent environmental problems facing our generation.
We are seeking entry-level college graduates to complement and expand our climate change practice group. Individuals with an interest in conventional air quality fields such as ozone/PM analysis and abatement are strongly encouraged to apply. You will contribute to project/practice areas including the research, analysis, implementation, and policy development of:
• greenhouse gas emission inventories and mitigation measures;
• climate change adaptation assessment measures (especially as they relate to water resources and water quality);
• methodologies to determine climate change impacts on ecological resources (terrestrial and aquatic species, flora and their varied habitats);
• methodologies to explore the nexus between transportation planning, land use, sustainability and planning, and climate change; and
• renewable energy and energy conservation measures.
Position requires a bachelor degree, preferably in environmental-related programs, and superior writing and communication skills. Successful candidates must be self-motivated, industrious and work well in both individual and collaborative settings.
ICF Jones and Stokes is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
