Description

Hart has declared a climate emergency. Work is well underway to transform the council and the district so that we achieve our ambition to be a carbon neutral council by 2035 and a district by 2040. 

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic individual to provide support for officers across the council to deliver our Climate Change programme.

You will work closely with the Sustainability and Climate Change Officer to help address these and other key issues including those relating to biodiversity and the challenges that our environment is experiencing. 

The Applicant 

The key responsibilities for the role of Climate Change Projects Officer include: 

  • Provide support for officers from across Hart to help deliver successful outcomes for related climate change projects
  • Lead on selected carbon reduction, sustainability, and climate change projects as part of Hart’s action plan 
  • Provide support on the identification and submission of grant support funding streams; leading or supporting applications where appropriate
