The economists will analyze the macroeconomic effects of structural adjustment of policies, as well as provide an overall economic assessment as to the potential for a low-carbon economy. In selected DMCs, the economists will
Conduct initial scoping of the data requirements to undertake cost-benefit analysis of climate change policy and associated mitigation and adaptation options,
Estimate the social and economic costs of structural and sectoral adjustment measures proposed by the climate change policy analysts,
Gather information and conduct analysis to construct least-cost abatement curves for climatic change mitigation measures, and
Estimate the costs of proposed climate change adaptation measures based on national climate change adaptation plans.
