Description

The role responsibilities include the development of the Climate Change Programme for Australia, the implementation of greenhouse gas verification assignments within regulatory and voluntary market.. The role also requires participation in the greater Australian business through positive interactions with other SGS operations. Certification audits or sustainability assurance when Climate Change work-flow is low may be required. Marketing and promotion of the Climate Change Programme in Australia & SEAP are required.

Reporting to

Specific responsibilities
Work towards becoming an approved
Category 2 Auditor at least for Verifications and Validations
•To develop proposals for validation/verification assignments with existing and new clients.
•To execute CCP verification projects to agreed personal chargeability targets, ensuring compliance to mandatory internal procedures and agreed customer service levels.
•To provide technical support in the development and maintenance of the required internal quality procedures.
•To complete validation/verification projects with high quality of written reports and in conformance with SGS procedures.
•Monitoring of climate change and new developments.
•Identifying new opportunities in other related markets
•To attend conferences and technical working groups.
•Become familiar with the business operations and be able to implement continuous improvement
•Effective communication with both internal and external stakeholders with a commitment to customer service excellence
•Ensure the delivery of results and agreed services on time and with full customer satisfaction
•Ensure that SGS Procedures are followed whether as an audit team member or leading an assessment.
•Ensure quality work by self and self evaluate to identify professional development needsin discussion with manager.
•Succession planning, staff development and training in conjunction with senior management.

•Proactive approach to identifying the needs of a changing and developing market.
•Assist in promotional activities.
Profile
•Appropriate tertiary qualification and experience in one or more of the following areas of testing is essential:
•Auditing Experience
•Environmental & OH&S Project Experience
•Minimum Tertiary Education
•Completion of SGS In-house Climate Change Programme Course
•Supervisory experience
