The Role
 
Sitting within the Climate Change, Water and Environment corporate division, this role is required to provide advice and support to our Pilbara operations on all aspects of energy management to ensure compliance with the requirements of external legislation and internal Rio Tinto Standards.
 
Reporting to the Principal Advisor - Energy, you will be accountable for but not limited to: -
  • Being the key point of contact for operations in relation to energy management for Rio Tinto Iron Ore (RTIO) Pilbara Operations
  • Advising and supporting RTIO Pilbara Operations to ensure compliance with Energy Efficiency Opportunities legislation, Rio Tinto standards and reporting requirements.
  • Promoting and supporting  continuous improvement possesses in energy efficiency and energy management 
  • Promoting and driving collaboration and communication in energy management across the group
The successful candidate will be tertiary qualified in Engineering, Science or a related field and have experience in a similar role. An ability to foster strong working relationships, and excellent negotiating/ influencing skills are essential. Previous exposure to project management & people management will be highly regarded.
