Climate and Oceans Intern (Paid)

ADC Environment Limited have been contracted to externally manage some of our clients work to protect the oceans from the duel threats of climate change and ocean acidification, to educate about the threats of ocean acidification and climate change and prevent them by advocating for the regulation of global warming pollutants from international shipping, the prevention of expanded offshore drilling, and the development of offshore wind farms.

Ideally you will be located in the UK (South East or London) or US Washington.

We are seeking motivated individuals to be and intern.  You will work closely with the climate change campaign team and assist the science team with their substantive work in support of these advocacy efforts. The successful applicant(s) will spend a considerable portion of their time undertaking research and writing projects related to the impacts of climate change and ocean acidification on the oceans.

Qualifications

The ideal candidates should possess:

• Master's degree in biology, climate or marine science or similar
• A good understanding of climate change and the oceans
• Excellent research, writing, and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team effort
• Energy, enthusiasm, and a strong desire to learn
• Ability to work independently on discrete projects
• A strong interest in environmental issues
• GIS proficiency is a plus
