Position: Clean Energy Specialist
Position description: ECODIT LLC is seeking candidates for the full-time position of Clean Energy/Climate Change Specialist to join the company’s Home Office team based in Arlington, VA. The Clean Energy/Climate Change Specialist will be responsible for providing technical input into clean energy proposals, backstopping and providing technical oversight to clean energy and climate change contracts/projects, and monitoring the clean energy field for new developments, thought leaders, and best practices. The ideal candidate will have experience working with the US Agency of International Development (USAID).

Responsibilities: 
• Research current clean energy strategies and practices, including cost-effective approaches to expand clean energy services, innovative financing and governance models in the energy sector, and energy efficiency and energy conservation action plans;
• Research USAID strategies and programs related to the Climate Change and Development Strategy and Enhancing Capacity for Low Emissions Development Strategies (EC-LEDS);
• Develop the ECODIT network of clean energy experts and partner organizations;
• Provide research and written input for technical proposals with a focus on clean energy;
• Provide technical support and backstopping to clean energy projects; and
• Represent ECODIT at coordination meetings, conferences, and other events. 
Qualifications: 
• At least a bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in an energy-related field – engineering, public policy, energy economics, etc.;
• Up to five (5) years of relevant experience in the clean energy sector;
• Strong research skills and written and oral communication skills;
• Ability to work independently in a flexible small-business environment; and
• Foreign language skills desirable.
