Community Energy is excited to introduce the new Clean Energy Fellowship program.  We are looking for three excited and qualified candidates who will be brought in for a three to six month program together as one cohort, beginning this summer.  Responsibilities will cover a spectrum of business operations and will provide significant experience in renewable energy, various business functions, and entrepreneurship.

Position Description

The CEI Fellow will serve in an intern capcity and fulfill the following responsibilities, focusing on some tasks more than others.  Community Energy’s culture involves a matrixed environment and as such the CEI Fellow will also assist in multiple functions including marketing, pilot implementation, and customer retention.  The Fellow will report directly to a manager on the retail team and will be expected to work approximately 30 hours per week.

  • Assist the implementation of online initiatives to enhance CEI customer experience
  • Expand CEI’s digital media presence
  • Research solar and electricity markets
  • Assist with implementing Community Energy pilots such as solar leasing
  • Enhance customer retention by supporting our mass markets customer service team
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills
  • Outstanding customer orientation
  • Ability to relate to a diverse population
  • Capacity to effectively handle multiple priorities with tight deadlines
  • Positive attitude
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills
  • Proficiency with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to negotiate effectively
  • Passion for renewable energy
  • Consideration for and ability to work with others
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing culture; be a self-starter

Details

Compensation will be in the form of a stipend to cover expenses.

Fellow positions are available for a 3-6 month period.
