BirdLife Australia (BirdLife) is seeking an experienced coordinator to manage the Clarkesdale Reserve property, located near Ballarat, Victoria.

You will be responsible for a range of land management activities under the direction of a volunteer advisory committee and the Woodland Birds Program Leader. Importantly, you will undertake pest control; improve the self-guided visitor experience; maintain the visitor centre and on-site infrastructure (e.g. bird hides, buildings, tracks etc.).

You will also ensure compliance with OH&S policies and procedures and ensure machinery is maintained as required.

The successful candidate should have a Certificate IV Conservation & Land Management, a driver’s license and be a self-starter working both independently and as part of a team.
This is a part-time casual position, however, once a landscape scale woodland bird conservation plan is complete, a fixed term contract may be issued to the right candidate.
