Description

ACCA (La Asociación para la Conservación de la Cuenca Amazónica) is looking for a professional to serve as Research Coordinator in its Los Amigos Research Station (CICRA) in Madre de Dios, Peru. The candidate should have the following:

  • Degree in natural sciences, biology, forest engineering or similar specialties, with post-graduate studies in environmental science and accredited publications
  • Minimum of five years of related work experience, preferably in scientific research in tropical rain forests in the Amazon of south eastern Peru.
  • Availability to live in Madre de Dios, Peru, as permanent staff in CICRA (Centro de Investigación y Capacitación Rio Los Amigos), which is located four hours from the city of Puerto Maldonado by boat.
  • Must be fluent in both English and Spanish with advanced writing skills in both languages
  • Experience with informational tools
