The Chief Technical Officer (CTO) reports to the Board of powerPerfector Group (pPG) – a global manufacturer and distributor of energy efficiency technology and associated services.  The CTO will drive and implement pPG’s technology strategy, with oversight of manufacturing, responsibility for quality management and leading a global technical services team to support the worldwide rollout of pPG’s unique award-winning Voltage Power Optimisation technology.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead the execution of technology strategy for the core powerPerfector product range
  • Manage on behalf of pPG the establishment of new UK manufacturing operations
  • Oversee the development of pPG’s R&D capabilities, focused primarily on control electronics
  • Complement pPG’s existing team of power engineers by bringing experience and up-to-date knowledge in control electronics
  • Ensure pPG remains technically ahead of the competition
  • Ensure adherence to technical standards for product development and company operations
  • Preserve the VPO technology’s 100% reliability rating by embedding excellence in quality management throughout the supply chain


Skills:

Technical competence, excellent leadership, strong interpersonal skills and outstanding decision making skills are all fundamental requirements of this role. In addition, the appointee will have a excellent presentational skills and will be required to represent the strength of the companies technology to a wide variety of audiences. Whilst significant imagination and inventiveness will be required to drive our technology forward, an ability to take known technology from concept, through production to final product is a key requirement of this post.

Requirements:

  • Chartered Engineer
  • At least 15 years experience in engineering, at least 5 years in an executive position
  • Experience in senior technical roles within international organisations, including product development and/or technology transfer between territories
  • The ideal candidate will have proven technical design, commercial and managerial capabilities, and will have retained first rate technical interest in the field of control electronics.
