Description

TPL's Executive Vice President/Chief Operations Officer reports to the President and CEO and oversees TPL's land conservation operations. The COO's responsibilities include TPL's Field Operations (Conservation Vision, Funding and Transactions) as well as research and education activities. The COO's primary responsibility is to oversee TPL's mission delivery work while ensuring strong financial performance. Working with the TPL's Board and President, the COO will develop the policies, systems and practices necessary for TPL to meet its goals. An essential role of the COO is overseeing the integration of TPL's functions and offices to ensure highly efficient and effective communication and collaboration throughout the organization with respect to mission delivery, marketing, fundraising and maintaining a strong infrastructure to support TPL's activities. The COO also serves as the Chief Executive Officer of TPL in the absence of the President.

TPL is looking for a COO with successful experience managing and growing a national organization (top and bottom line)that is regionally dispersed. Proven ability to attract, retain and develop collaborative entrepreneurs as well as driving organizational change is of paramount importance.
