Reporting to the board of directors, the COO will oversee all internal operations of the organization and will:
- Ensure implementation of the organization’s board-designed five-year strategic plan, which is currently in development.
- Manage ACA’s senior staff in developing best practices for financial management, administration, program coordination, and evaluating progress toward milestones.
Key Qualifications A successful candidate will have had high-level management experience with a non-profit organization or business. Additional requirements include:
- Ability to communicate fluently in both English and Spanish.
- Willingness to be based in Peru and to travel extensively.
- A strong understanding of finance and accounting systems; experience with the full range of business functions and systems, budgeting, finance, and information systems.
- Experience successfully managing teams, especially across multiple locations.
- Solid educational background—undergraduate degree required; MBA or similar advanced degree is desirable, but a track record of experience at managing an organization is most important.
