Description

My client is a highly successful offshore installer, bringing specialized solutions to deepwater offshore wind farm sites throughout Europe utilizing the latest subsea technology. They are currently looking for an experienced Chief Financial Officer to be responsible for all fiscal management aspects of the company operations.   


Position Overview:
The new CFO will be responsible for the management of all company finances and will provide leadership and coordination in the administrative, business planning, budgeting and accounting efforts.   

 

Responsibilities:-

  • ·         Support the CEO to lead and drive financial initiatives
  • ·         Create, coordinate and evaluate financial infrastructure and programs
  • ·         Oversee the approval & processing of revenue, expenditure, & position control documents, department budgets, mass salary updates, ledger, & account maintenance & data entry
  • ·         Identifying financing banks, preparing information memorandum, negotiation with banks & equity investors
  • ·         Ensure records systems are maintained in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards
  • ·         Form and manage new utility and developer relationships
  • ·         Develop and manage relationships with utilities, developers, and external services providers
  • ·         Develop relationships with IPP's, EPC's, large developers and other channel partners Identify project opportunities with utilities
  • ·         Structuring and negotiation of project finance loan documentation and share purchase agreements
  • ·         Overseeing the work of the sales team for the finalization of key project contracts to achieve financial close
  • ·         Responsible for  financial advisory, negotiation of finance and project documentation
  • ·         Equity raising and project sale negotiations
  • ·         Detailed risk analysis for each project

 

Education:-

  • ·         Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting and potentially a Master’s Degree or MBA with emphasis in Finance or related studies

 

Core Requirements:-

  • 5 to 10 years of prior transactional experience working within project finance, structured finance, consumer finance, tax equity, lease finance, asset-backed finance, M&A, investment banking, municipal finance, large commercial real estate underwriting, securitization of various asset types, or private equity with significant experience leading the origination, negotiation, and execution of transactions
  • 3+ years within the Wind industry
  • Strong knowledge of project finance, including structuring and negotiation of financings
  • Experience in strategic planning & execution
  • Knowledge of contract, negotiation, change management, finance, accounting, budgeting & cost control principles
  • Ability to analyze, prepare financial reports, statements & projection
  • ·         Hands-on approach on existing investments
  • ·         International business development and origination
  • ·         Critical assessment and due diligence of investment opportunities
  • ·         Fluency in Norwegian is not needed however fluency in German is very desired

 

General Requirements:-

  • Ability to travel
  • ·         Ability to communicate across all levels of an organization
  • ·         Ability to work under deadline pressure and deliver high quality results
  • ·         Proven ability to communicate across all levels of an organization
  • ·         Advanced Excel skills, familiarity with Word and PowerPoint. Prior international and emerging market transactional experience is a plus
  • ·         Excellent communication skills in both oral and written English with additional language skills a plus
  • ·         Project management and complex financial modeling experience

 Key Skills:

Renewable energy, Wind, strong finance background (Master degree in Finance is preferred), structuring and sales negotiation, arranging and closing term debt, construction loans, originating, negotiating, structuring and executing large scale finance transactions, Knowledge of contract, negotiation, change management, finance, accounting, budgeting & cost control principles
