Chief Executive/CEO

Based in Bristol

Salary: £45,000 - £50,000

Full time 37 hours pw

Due to retirement, Avon Wildlife Trust, has an opportunity for a new Chief Executive to lead our Bristol based team.

This is a pivotal role, providing strategic vision and leadership to the operation and development of their group, which includes the award-winning Folly Farm Centre and a new consultancy.

The Chief Executive will need to be an inspiring and motivating team leader and a partnership builder, with first-rate interpersonal skills, a broad knowledge of ecological and environmental issues and the ability and passion to develop the vision for the group.

Educated to degree level or equivalent, the CEO will have knowledge of the conservation movement and relevant current economic, social and environment policies. Self-motivated, with an ability to enthuse and develop staff and volunteers, you will ideally have a track record of leadership in the charity sector. You will also have proven networking skills and the capability to build relationships, leading to successful project development and delivery.
