Chief Executive

A unique landscape, the New Forest has been in existence for 900 years and a National Park since 2005. The New Forest National Park Authority is responsible for conserving and enhancing the natural beauty, wildlife and cultural heritage of the New Forest and for promoting its special qualities to the public.

Do you have the inspiration and drive to be our new Chief Executive? Could you move the organisation forward, taking the team, members and our partners into a new era? Engaging effectively with our diverse stakeholders gaining mutual trust, sharing agendas and working with integrity is essential. You need the vision, leadership skills and credibility to make our mission become a reality.

You will bring experience of leading innovative change, have demonstrated the ability to maximise income generation and have a track record of focused financial management during demanding times. An understanding of the complex issues and challenges associated with National Parks is desirable but a passion for special landscapes and the outdoors is essential.

You may have come from a different background e.g. a charity, private sector or local authority. We would welcome an application if you can offer the right skills for the National Park.
