Ducks Unlimited, Inc., the world’s largest wetlands and waterfowl habitat conservation organization, is accepting applications for Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the organization’s top staff position. This position will be located in the national headquarters in Memphis, TN.

Ducks Unlimited Seeks CEO

With a staff of nearly 500 professionals in 4 regional offices, a government affairs office in Washington, D.C., and its national headquarters in Memphis, TN., DU has a loyal membership of approximately 650,000 with more than one million avid supporters.

The CEO reports directly to the President (a volunteer position) and will direct the operations of the organization and staff while providing visionary concepts and policy recommendations to the President, officers, and the 60 members of the organization’s Board of Directors. As CEO, this person will help develop and direct public outreach, communications, and marketing programs and lead efforts in all areas of revenue generation while being responsible for the financial operations and long-term financial growth of the organization. Specific areas of revenue generation include grassroots fundraising, major gifts, corporate relations, publishing, public revenues, and licensing. The CEO directs the operations of the organization and activities of all other salaried employees, coordinates the activities of other officers under the direction of the President, and manages day-to-day administrative activities of the organization.

As the organization’s leader, this person is expected to represent DU’s interests and maintain working relationships with appropriate government officials, business leaders, and leaders in other conservation organizations. This person will be responsible for maintaining relationships with DU-Canada and DU de Mexico, their leaders, staff, and members.
