he Administrative Assistant III provides administrative support and office management for the Chicago office.  Assignments are complex and varied and require self-direction, including the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.

Essential Functions 

Provides administrative and clerical support  for the Chicago Director and staff.  Specific duties include: 

  • Office management, including managing the lease, vendors, office equipment, security, and maintenance.
  • Maintenance of calendars, contacts, expenses, mail and files;
  • Scheduling of appointments and meetings
  • Making travel arrangements.
  • Supporting fund raising efforts, including event planning and preparation, donation processing, and Advisory Council logistics (including meeting prep, minutes, member contacts, RSVP’s, speaker coordination, handouts, etc.)
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 4 or more years administrative support and/or office management experience, preferably in a non-profit environment.
  • 2 year college degree, bachelor's degree preferred;
  • Advanced computer literacy, including mastery of Microsoft Office.  Data base knowledge and/or graphics software knowledge preferred
  • Experience in a fund raising organization a plus.
