TITLE

Certification Assistant Europe II (m/f) 

FUNCTION

  • Support in the organization of Fairtrade audits and certifications of Traders in Europe.
  CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Administer the certification process.
  • Ensure communication with certified operators and third parties.
  • Ensure central communication with the Certification Team. 
  TASKS
  • Assist in administering Producer and Trader Applications.
  • Assist Regional Manager and Analysts to schedule and administer audits in the respective region.
  • Assist the Certification Team in communication with applicants and certified operators as well as other third parties.
  • Assist in the elaboration and communication of certification decisions.
  • Keep certification decision information up to date in the FLO-CERT database and audit plan.
  • Ensure a proper documentation and filing of certification decisions and relevant communications.
  • Contribute to the quality improvement of certification processes.
 REPORTING TORegional Manager Europe II  REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Necessary:
  • Any business, commercial, trade or consumer orientated professional education or apprenticeship/vocational training.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Very good language skills (oral & written) on one or more Nordic Language (Danish, Norwegian, Swedish, Finnish).
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Very good communication and selling skills.
  • Team player, flexible, experience in dealing with different cultures.
  • Strong dedication towards customer service.
  • Strong command in the use of MS Office Products.
  • Good working knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office. Good Excel skills.
  • Motivation for Fairtrade.
 Advantageous:
  • University level education in a relevant subject (Food, Consumer, Business, Agronomy, Law, Economics, Scandinavian languages studies, etc.)
  • Working experience in an office environment.
  • Experience in international trade or food processing.
  • Experience with Customer Relationship Management Tools.
 TERMS AND CONDITIONS
  • Job Share: 100%.
  • Position is based in the FLO-CERT Office in Bonn, Germany.
  • Start date: January 2010
  • The office language is English.
  • Salary is paid according to the Collective Bargaining Agreement Category (Tarifvertrag Groß- und Außenhandel, Nordrhein-Westfalen), Salary Range IV plus an attractive benefits package.
  • 30 days of holidays.
