FLO-CERT GmbH currently has a vacancy in its Certification department for a customer orientated, service driven and energetic new staff member with an interest in FAIRTRADE:
POSITION Certification Analyst South America/Brazil (m/f)
FUNCTION Organise Fairtrade audits and certifications of producers and traders in Brazil and South America. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES • Coordinate the audit and certification process of operators in Brazil and South America. • Evaluate audit reports and prepare certification decisions. • Ensure the flow of communication between all units of the Certification Department. TASKS • Take application evaluation decisions for certification of producers and traders. • Evaluate audit reports and prepare certification decisions. • Communicate with key stakeholder, traders and producers in South America. • Contribute to the quality improvement of FLO-CERT processes. • Assist the Regional Manager South America with external communication. • Assist the Regional Manager South America with the training of local auditors. • Ensure internal communication within the Latin American certification team. • Ensure a proper documentation and filing of certification decisions. • Ensure up to date information and certification decision information in the database.
REPORTING TO Regional Manager South America
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Necessary: • A professional business or commercial related education (e.g. office-, trade-, merchant apprenticeship/vocational training) or a Bachelor level university education in a relevant subject (Food Science, Business, Agronomy, etc.) • Professional work experience of at least two years. • Prior experience in auditing in Latin America. • Familiar with one or more of the following certification schemes: Organic, GlobalG.A.P, SA 8000, Fairtrade, ISO 9000 or equivalent. • Fluency in English and Portuguese, written and spoken. • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills. • Pro-active work style and team player. • A confident, reliable, hardworking and enthusiastic individual. • Excellent communication skills, team player, flexible, experience in dealing with different cultures. • Strong dedication towards customer service. • Strong command in the use of MS Office Products. • Motivation for Fairtrade. Advantageous • Knowledge of the agricultural sector in Latin America. • Fluency in Spanish, written and spoken. • Knowledge of and experience in the coffee industry. • Knowledge in accounting and billing.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS • Job Share: 100%. • Position is based in the FLO-Cert Office in Bonn, Germany. • Salary is paid according to the Collective Bargaining Agreement Category (Tarifvertrag Groß- und Außenhandel, Nordrhein-Westfalen), Salary Range V plus an attractive benefits package. • Start as soon as possible. • The office language is English. • 30 days of holidays.
