FLO-CERT GmbH currently has a vacancy in its Certification department for a pro-active, customer orientated and service driven new staff member with an interest in FAIRTRADE:

 

TITLE

Certification Analyst Europe  (m/f)

 

FUNCTION

Perform evaluations against Trade Standards for assigned companies.

 

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Act as Trade Certification responsible for assigned operators.

• Evaluate operators for assigned products against Trade Standards.

• Answer requests of Traders from assigned countries.

 

TASKS

• Process operator applications.

• Process sales reports.

• Evaluate audit reports and control their quality.

• Perform evaluations of audit reports against Trade Standards for presentation to certifier.

• Communicate actively with applicants and certified operators and provide all necessary information on decisions.

• Actively participate in the annual audit planning for assigned countries.

• Instruct operators on FLO Fairtrade requirements

• Identify special needs of Key Accounts and liaise with the Labeling Initiatives in the respective      countries in relation to their Key Accounts.

• Answer trade certification related questions.

• Answer Labeling Initiatives special requests.

• Assist in the selection, evaluation and training of Auditors.

• Assist in constant improvement of certification processes.

 

 

REPORTING TO

• Regional Manager Europe

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Necessary:

• Any business or commercial professional education (e.g. office-, trade-, merchant apprenticeship IHK) or equivalent.

• Professional work experience of at least two years.

• Fluent in German and English oral and written.

• Good knowledge of Italian oral and written.

• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.

•  Pro-active work style and team player.

• A confident, reliable, hardworking and enthusiastic individual.

•  Excellent communication skills, flexible, experience in dealing with different cultures.

•  Strong dedication towards customer service.

•  Motivation for Fairtrade.

 

Advantageous

• University level education (B.A. or equivalent) in a relevant subject (Food Science, Business, Agronomy, Law, Economics etc.).

• Intermediate French.

• 1 year experience in certification systems (e.g. organic, FSC, MSC, SA8000,

   ISO 14001, etc) in particular with ISO 65 accreditation or 2 years related

   business experience.

• Technical knowledge of the products: coffee, cocoa, sugar.

• Business experience in international trade.

• Work experience in food processing industry.

• Experience with Customer Relationship Management Tools.

 

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

• Job Share: 100%.

• Position is based in the FLO-Cert Office in Bonn, Germany.

• The office language is English.

• Salary is paid according to the Collective Bargaining Agreement Category (Tarifvertrag Groß- und Außenhandel, Nordrhein-Westfalen), Salary Range V plus an attractive benefits package.

• 30 days of holidays.

• Start date: as soon as possible.
