JOB TITLE Central Sound Outreach Coordinator Puget Sound Energy’s Green Power Program
COMPANY INTRODUCTION 3Degrees is a national leader in the retail of renewable energy certificates and carbon offsets. We are partnered with Puget Sound Energy to increase support for Puget Sound Energy’s Green Power Program, a voluntary Renewable Energy Certification (REC) based program for its electricity customers. POSITION SUMMARY 3Degrees is seeking an energetic, professional and detail-oriented individual to work in the central area of Puget Sound. This position will support a best-in-industry team that partners with utilities to increase the development of renewable energy.
This is a 30-hour position including some weekend and evening hours. Your primary responsibility will be to design and deploy an effective community outreach effort to enroll new residential customers in Puget Sound Energy’s Green Power Program, and to respond to community groups, small businesses, and other customers should they request information or presentations about the program. A limited amount of business outreach may also be part of the position.
POSITION LOCATION This position is located in the 3Degrees Washington office in Seattle. Coordinating outreach in the central Puget Sound region, including King, Kitsap, Pierce, Kittitas, and Jefferson Counties, primarily focused on King County. |
Duties: |
CORE DUTIES • Coordinate community outreach efforts including attendance at area events, store-front tabling, and Courtesy Knock campaigns throughout the central Puget Sound area. • Hire, train, and manage a team of 8-10 part-time outreach staff • Formally present Puget Sound Energy’s Green Power Program information to community groups • Manage and work within a budget for personnel and other outreach costs • Closely track outreach efforts to determine relative success; strive for ongoing improvement • Establish relationships with area stores, non-profits, and businesses to support outreach efforts • Answer inquiries and requests from community groups and customers for information on Puget Sound Energy’s Green Power Program materials • Acquire and maintain a deep familiarity and knowledge of the Puget Sound Energy’s Green Power Program • Acquire and maintain a deep familiarity and knowledge of the people, culture, events, and social/political pulse of Puget Sound Energy’s service territory • Some participation in general company activities, including being available for company team meetings and team brainstorming sessions • Provide general program assistance including analysis of marketing results and research about potential marketing campaigns • General office management and administrative tasks for your area |
Qualifications: |
DESIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS • Experience in outreach, sales, community organizing or other related field • Experience in hiring, training, and team management • Ability to establish positive long-term relationships with customers • Outgoing personality • Willingness to initiate customer interactions • Excellent organizational skills • Fluency in MS Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook • Deep knowledge of central Puget Sound communities • Ability to work independently • Dedication to sustainability and renewable energy • Excellent communication skills • Ability to work some evenings and weekends
