Description

CDP Cities provides a global platform for municipal governments to disclose greenhouse gas emissions, climate change risks and adaptation strategies and other climate change-related data. We deliver materially relevant data for cities, residents, global businesses and other stakeholders.

CDP is currently looking for an intern for the CDP Cities team in London. This new initiative is an opportunity for the right applicant to be part of the beginning of a significant project and to participate in the shaping and development of the work. The principal responsibility of the successful applicant in this position will be to provide additional support to the Cities project team. This will primarily involve research into key areas of policy and practice, particularly in the areas of city response to climate change, the role of business, and emerging threats to property, life, and business.

Responsibilities will also include assisting with fundraising management, providing support to disclosing cities, and aiding in the development of CDP’s technology systems. This position would suit a confident self-starter preferably with or pursuing a Masters degree interested in a career in the policy and practice of climate change in either the public or private sectors. Fluency in multiple languages a plus.

This is a fixed-term position until 1 December. The position is based in CDP’s London office, starting as soon as possible to mid-August.

Interested candidates should send a copy of their resume along with a cover email outlining their suitability for the role to cities@cdproject.net

Deadline for submissions: 15 August 2011
