technically minded project manager is required for a newly established CDM
business in South East Asia for a US Power company..

The purpose of the role is to take ownership of the firm’s CDM project portfolio and ensure that each stage of
the project lifecycle is managed efficiently, ensuring a timely delivery of CER
credits following successful validation and verification by third party Designated
Operational Entities (DOE).

The position is to be based in Kuala Lumpar, Malaysia with frequent travel to
target countries which will include Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam and
Philippines. The sectors that will be covered include Biomass, Palmoil, Starch and
Landfill Gas.

The role;
- Responsible for support of the origination team by way providing technical
due diligence and screening for feasibility.
- Preparation and quality management of PDDs and PINs.
- CDM project lifecycle management.
- Key relationship manager with chosen DOE, local DNA and other project
partners.
- Responsible for implementation and management of an appropriate
monitoring system for each project; training of local staff may be necessary.
- Stay up to date with all relevant methodologies and policy guidelines as per
issue from UNFCCC.

The ideal candidate;
- Educated to Masters level or equivalent in an Engineering or similar degree.
- Experience in CDM project management lifecycle, including preparation of
project documentations (PDD / PIN).
- Excellent organisation, communication, negotiation and analytical skills.
- Experience in managing teams both locally and remotely.
- Excellent spoken and written English.
- Fluency in at least one regional language a distinct advantage.

Extensive travel will inevitably be required for this role.
