CDM Manager, Mumbai, India

My client is a global developer and investor of CDM projects. They have operations across Asia, Europe, America and Latin America and are active in reducing the carbon footprints of their clients and helping them manage their greenhouse gas emissions. They are currently looking for a CDM (clean development mechanism) Manager in Mumbai to bring on.

Position Overview:

You will be responsible for conducting due diligence and developing the documentation necessary for the development of such projects. In addition, you would be responsible for liaising with DOEs and local authorities to ensure that the relevant permits and authorization is approved for the development. A key aspect of you role will involve coordinating the logistics of teams globally and locally to ensure that projects and services are being completed to the highest standards within the time frames allocated.

Responsibilities:

• ·         Lead the technical advisory services implementation team
• ·         Liaise with and manage Public Stakeholder Consultation
• ·         Coordinate the advisory services group in the US and India to manage both existing and future projects to completion.
• ·         Prepare documentation such as Project Design Document (PDD), Project Information Note (PIN), and Project Concept Note (PCN) for the projects across India, SE Asia and Latin America
• ·         Coordinate with maintain relationships with DOE’s to support activities
• ·         Implement carbon footprint and Life Cycle Analysis (LCA) projects
• ·         Liaise with clients and project developers to ensure that projects are being designed and built to specification
• ·         Data collection and analysis for CDM projects
• ·         Conduct due diligence
• ·         Liaise with various government offices to facilitate CDM project development
• ·         Manage the verification process
• ·         Coordinate the issuance of Certified Emission Reductions (CERs) by DOE’s

Education:

• ·         Educated to BSc/MSc level in Environmental Studies, Energy or related fields

Core Requirements:

• ·         3-4 years experience in the CDM sector
• ·         Strong understanding of technical aspects of the CDM market
• ·         Knowledge of LCA and carbon footprints
• ·         Extensive experience in the development of PDDs
• ·         Must be a proactive individual with experience in developing new business

General Requirements:

• ·         Must be willing to relocate to Mumbai
• ·         Fluent in English
• ·         Must be fluent in MS Office
• ·         Excellent communication skills
