Essex Wildlife Trust is the county’s leading conservation charity.  It has more than 37,000 members, manages and protects over 8,400 acres of land on 87 nature reserves and 2 nature parks and runs 11 visitor centres.  The aim of Essex Wildlife Trust is to Protect Wildlife for the Future and for the People of Essex.  It is supported financially by members, local businesses and grant making organisations.  It is one of the largest of the 46 county wildlife trusts that work together throughout the British Isles as The Wildlife Trusts.

Based at Fingringhoe Wick Nature Reserve

We are looking for people that can work in a reactive environment to offer all our visitors good food and a warm welcome whenever they visit us.

The ideal candidate will be a people person that works well on their own in a busy environment, who can be flexible to work across different areas.  We are looking for someone with a strong catering background; as the primary function of this role will include food preparation, cooking and front of house duties. Food Hygiene qualifications are desirable. In house training will be provided.

This role is working 7.5 hours per week which due to our rota beginning on Sunday equates to every other weekend. Please see an example rota below;
