oin us and become Category Manager or Senior Category Manager in the Procurement department handling the overall procurement and management of large-scale wind projects.

Together with your colleagues in the department, you will be in the front line when we underpin our business strategy and participate in projects on strategic multi-contract procurement processes. You will be joining a department with a strong professional environment, and you will have more than 50 committed colleagues based either in Denmark or abroad.

The department is part of Wind Power, a large business unit with 1400 employees. We are the world's largest developer of offshore wind energy and have more than 30 years of experience in wind power. The development of our solutions is based on solid in-house know-how within all aspects of onshore and offshore wind power technology. We are currently working on 10 large-scale offshore wind projects in Denmark, the United Kingdom, Germany and France.

You may choose freely to be based at our Danish office either in Gentofte or in Skærbæk near Fredericia. You should, however, expect some travelling in relation to your work.

Area of Responsibilities
You will be responsible for a range of category management activities working in integrated procurement and project teams. You will drive category activities and have ownership of relationships with stakeholders and key suppliers.

In addition, you will establish and drive key category groups, and you will lead stakeholder management to secure involvement in planning, communication and strategic alignment. You will interact at all levels of the organisation and across business units and countries.

Furthermore, your main tasks will include to:
drive the development of category group strategies

  • drive development of category activity plans and execute successfully and on time
  • drive supplier relationship management based on supplier segmentation and category group strategies
  • develop the contracts and frame agreements associated with the category
  • monitor and improve supplier performance.

Your profile
You will have a relevant technical or commercial education at Master or Bachelor level. Furthermore, you will have several years of experience with category management, preferably within process or constructions projects and possibly in the energy sector.

In addition, you will have knowledge of the construction business and associated procurement activities, and you will have a solid knowledge of procurement law, including EU directives.

It is essential that you have strong interpersonal skills enabling you to create good relationships with your business partners at all levels of the organisation.
