Catchment Partnerships Officer

Salary: £20,500 f.t.e (£12,300 pro rata)

Contract: Part-time (three days per week). Fixed term 1 year contract

Based: The Lodge, Littlemore, Oxford   

The Berks, Bucks & Oxon Wildlife Trust is a membership-based voluntary organisation, managing over 80 nature reserves, influencing land management and educating and encouraging all sectors of the community to care for local wildlife. 

We are looking for an experienced project officer to continue and expand our catchment partnership work for three tributaries of the Thames - the Ray, Cherwell and Windrush. As Catchment Partnerships Officer you will work closely with the Environment Agency and engage stakeholders and local communities through a catchment-based approach. You will support the development and delivery of catchment priorities in line with the Water Framework Directive to improve the ecological quality of the rivers and their associated habitats.

The successful applicant will have an understanding of river and wetland ecology and possess excellent interpersonal and liaison skills. You will be keen to promote biodiversity gains in these catchments, and will demonstrate an obvious enthusiasm for wildlife and the natural environment.
