Participate in the development and implementation of CDM, VER projects and other carbon related initiatives.
Assist the Origination Department in technical due diligences, proposals and feasibility assessments of CDM, VER projects and other carbon related initiatives. Our client, one of the global leaders within the renewable energy development, sustainability and CDM project sectors is seeking a Carbon Management Coordinator to join their Sustainability Department based in the Middle East. Key responsibilities include: • Carrying out CDM, VER and other carbon related initiatives market studies, due diligences, including the assessment and screening of projects • Developing technical due diligences, proposals and feasibility assessments of CDM projects or programs • Building rapport with key officials and regulators at the UNFCCC and the CDM Executive Board for CDM projects registration and related policies and procedures • Assist Project Managers to structure CDM, VER projects and other carbon related initiatives • Interface with project managers, clients (asset owners/project sponsors) and all other participants to assure effective and on-time delivery of CDM VER projects and other carbon related initiatives cycle tasks • Keep abreast of policy development, providing advice to senior team members on strategic planning and policy setting • Coordinate with the Carbon Management Unit • Participate in seminars, events and organized promotional programs which help raise awareness on CDM, VER projects and other carbon related initiatives The ideal candidate will have the following experience: • Experience in corporate and project level GHG accounting and reporting • Experience in design of programs aimed at GHG emission reduction and / carbon auditing / carbon foot printing and modeling • Minimum of 5 years experience in engineering/advisory positions within the energy or environmental sectors • Experienced in Clean Development Mechanism, carbon market and Kyoto protocol • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Sciences or equivalent • Strong analytical and problem solving skills • Team Player • Ability to prioritize actions For a confidential discussion on the above opportunity, please contact Ross Dakin on +61 (0) 420 457 054 – ross@carbonjobs.com.au or John Revie on +61 (0) 420 970 334 – john@carbonjobs.com.au |
