Carbon Certification Manager, Forestry and Redd

Green Resources is developing a number of forestry and REDD projects across Africa that generate carbon offsets.  The company currently has reforestation projects undergoing CDM, CCBA and VCS certification. The company is expanding its portfolio of forest-related carbon projects and is therefore looking to hire an additional experienced carbon certification manager. Green Resources develops, owns and operates the projects, giving it a unique advantage and control over the projects. 

The applicant should ideally have:

·          extensive experience in developing carbon projects

·          an advanced degree in natural resources, forestry, environmental science or other relevant disciplines

·          demonstrated expertise and understanding of international forest issues, implementation of carbon forestry projects- validation, verification, and certification of forestry and LULUCF projects both in the voluntary and compliance markets

·          good team management skills and a pro-active hands-on attitude

·          excellent skills in written and spoken English

·          readiness to travel extensively  

Job location:  Entebbe, London, Maputo or Oslo.
