We are looking for a Capital Appeal Manager to manage our fundraising campaign for our exemplary ‘green’ building called the Living Planet Centre in Woking.   This building will not only be our operational headquarters but will demonstrate to UK business people, government and the general public the possibility of sustainable office practice and our ability to live within the resources of our very precious planet. 

The post gives you the opportunity to manage WWF-UK’s capital appeal for the Living Planet Centre. This is an exciting and challenging capital campaign that has already achieved £6.75million with a target of £10m target to be realised by June 2013, around when it is anticipated the building will be completed. 

The Capital Appeal Manager, reporting to the Capital Appeal Director, will be responsible for implementing and managing a multi-disciplinary fundraising strategy (targeting individual donors, companies, grant-making trusts, statutory funding) aimed at raising funds and achieving the £10m target by mid 2013.

Preferably degree educated, the post holder must have a proven track record in fundraising from one or more of; major donor, charitable trust, corporate sources.  Experience of successful capital appeal fundraising from multiple sources would be an advantage, but not a requirement. Candidates must also be an excellent written and oral communicator and capable of working at all levels. Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills and excellent organisational skills are essential. A large degree of flexibility is also required.

Salary:                £36,696 to £38,990 per annum
