Description

The Institute for Sustainable Communities (ISC) is looking for Capacity Building Director candidates to participate in the implementation of a USAID funded climate adaptation and mitigation project in Vietnam. Specifically, this position will support the project goal of increasing resilience of people, places and livelihoods in delta areas through assistance for adaptation and disaster risk management. The Director will be responsible for overseeing and managing all capacity building activities among local Vietnamese partners and will use established ISC tools to conduct trainings and programs which respond to the needs of civil society participants and other stakeholders. We are especially interested in candidates who have achieved positive impacts and demonstrate creative and adaptive capacity-building in challenging environments.

Ideal candidates will have senior-level management experience in Southeast Asia, particularly Vietnam, related to capacity building of grassroots and local civil society groups. ISC seeks candidates with a proven track record of designing, implementing, and directing international programs that present innovative approaches to problem solving.
