We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated campaigns intern who can work on a range of tasks supporting the coordination of the Stop Climate Chaos Coalition. Stop Climate Chaos is the UK’s largest group of people dedicated to action on climate change and limiting its impact on the world’s poorest communities. The coalition spans more than 100 organisations, from major environment and development charities to unions, faith and community groups. Based in the Oxfam London (Victoria) office, you will work closely with the coalition coordinator to support her in a variety of roles. The role is mainly administrative, although given the range of work carried out by the coordinator you will support all aspects of coalition campaigns and events, with a particular focus on Social Media. In 2012-13 we will be working on a range of campaigns focused on the Climate Act and Energy Bill, as well as implementing an ongoing grassroots campaign. A keen interest in climate change and a willingness to learn would be ideal. This position will give the post holder a valuable insight into campaigning and working within the climate movement.
