Description

If you'd like to progress your career in PR, while helping to protect the environment - think about joining us. As a leading figure in the fight to address climate change, we aim to reduce energy consumption and carbon dioxide emissions throughout the UK. And - as energy conservation has never been higher on the public and political agenda - our work is more important than ever before.

Acting as our regional PR champion - both internally and externally - you'll drive the delivery of first-rate campaigns and strategies. It will be up to you to co-ordinate the tools of these campaigns, maximising their impact and effectiveness.

Liaising closely with other marketing teams and specialisms, you'll enable us to deliver our marketing communications efficiently and cost-effectively. You'll see to it that we're reaching all our possible audiences and promoting the full range of our programmes - and that all the messages we send out are consistent with our brand.

Through your work, you'll be pivotal in ensuring that we effectively engage with local community audiences in the regions. You'll also inform our future PR activities by managing regular media audits.

A confident, articulate and creative communicator in person and on paper, your copywriting and editorial skills will be first-rate - you'll have a background of writing press releases, reports, briefing papers, and speeches.

With strong PR experience - including experience of both consumer and trade press, you'll have a good track record of handling enquiries from the media and proactively developing relationships with them. You must be used to managing budgets, developing a corporate media relations strategy and shaping project-specific strategies.

The role also calls for experience of developing media and corporate event and publication programmes - managing an organisation's reputation, while simultaneously raising its profile. You must be able to meet tight deadlines and prioritise a busy and varied workload.
