Greenpeace is an independent global campaigning organisation that acts to change attitudes and behaviour, to protect and conserve the environment and to promote peace.
Do you care about your continent? Do you want to make sure that your children and your children’s children have a future? If so, then maybe campaigning to save the rain forests of the Congo Basin is your calling.
Greenpeace Africa is looking for a campaigner to join our team in Kinshasa, the capital of the Democratic Republic of Congo, reporting to Greenpeace Africa’s campaign manager in the DRC.
We’re looking for a dynamic individual who knows just why the forests are so important in the war against climate change.
We need someone who can speak French and do research reports in English, who can get involved at grassroots and still represent us in the board room and someone who’s not afraid to travel the length and breadth not just of the DRC but of the entire continent.
The successful candidate will be expected to be able to work with NGOs in the DRC, giving life to Greenpeace Africa’s objectives and strategies in the region, spreading, interacting with local leaders, journalists, politicians and other activists alike, using anything from word of mouth to newspaper reports, blogs and Twitter to get the message across.
