The Environmental Investigation Agency has been at the forefront of efforts to combat environmental crime since 1984. EIA’s unique approach involves utilising undercover investigation techniques to expose environmental crime in three main areas; illegal trade in wildlife, smuggling of ozone-depleting chemicals and e-waste, and illegal logging and associated timber trade. Purpose of Post The Campaigner (Wildlife) will work on EIA’s Illegal Wildlife Trade Campaign, mainly on Asian big cats and ivory. Principal activities will include: wildlife trade research and analysis; attendance at relevant national and international meetings; report writing; carrying out political advocacy; communicating with key audiences via social media; and managing campaign-related information.
