OCEANA, an international organization focused solely on protecting the world’s oceans, is dedicated to achieving concrete in-the-water improvements in ocean health through science-based campaigns with clearly articulated goals. Our campaigns are carried out by teams of scientists, economists, lawyers, communications specialists and advocates. OCEANA is seeking Campaign Organizers for our Climate and Energy Campaign. We are currently recruiting for two positions, one based in Washington, DC and one based in South Florida You will organize our national outreach effort to engage citizens behind OCEANA’s campaign to prevent the expansion of offshore drilling and expedite the implementation of offshore wind on the U.S. east coast. With direction from the Campaign Manager, you will work independently to execute a campaign plan and carry out the tasks necessary to meet campaign objectives. You will track timelines and report on progress to the Campaign Manager. You will manage a varied and high volume workload. Initiative to work on your own to meet deadlines and accomplish tasks is required. This position is based in Washington, DC. Principal duties and responsibilities include:
