This is a fantastic opportunity for a Campaign Manager looking to join a progressive and leading global farm animal welfare charity. 

Compassion in World Farming is the leading charity campaigning for farm animal welfare. They are a global farm animal welfare organisation campaigning to bring an end to factory farming and to implement the highest animal welfare standards in Europe and beyond. This cruel method of producing food is destructive and unnecessary, and affects billions of animals and every human on the planet. 

Position: Campaign Manager - Labelling Matters 
Location: Godalming, Surrey, 
Job Type: Permanent 
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 (Depending on Experience)

About the role: 

Compassion in Word Farming are looking for an experienced Campaign Manager with an innovative, strategic approach to run their Labelling Matters campaign. You will lead, manage and coordinate all aspects of the campaign to achieve compulsory labelling according to method of production in Europe. 

This role will involve building the case for the labelling objective, raising the media profile of the issue, developing and mobilising support amongst relevant stakeholders; from consumers to food companies to politicians, and lobbying politicians, officials and others as required. The work will be taken forward by working with relevant departments at Compassion and coordinating the work of partner organisations. 

About you: 

The ideal candidate will be educated to degree level and have sound knowledge gained in a similar position. You will have a proven track record of leading and implementing a successful campaign along with a good knowledge of EU political institutions. It is also desirable that you possess knowledge of farm animal welfare issues. Strong organisational skills and good attention to detail are also key requirements for this position. 

This exciting post requires you to have proven lobbying ability, management skills and the capacity to travel internationally, sometimes at short notice.
