Salary: Up to £35,000

Compassion in World Farming is the leading charity dedicated solely to improving the welfare of farm animals in the UK, Europe and beyond.

The challenge of tackling factory farming, the largest form of cruelty on the planet, merits our focused approach. We have a history of success in achieving radical improvements to the welfare of farmed animals. We are also actively campaigning to bring about an end to factory farming this century and you can play a pivotal role.

Having identified the key milestones required for the effective realization of our organizational goals, a number of exciting opportunities have arisen within the Public Affairs department . These newly created posts will be perfect for individuals from either the private or third sector who are looking for a challenge and a change.

We are seeking a capable and inspirational Campaigns Manager to lead on our new campaigns.  You will help to create a professional and inspirational campaigns team who operate at the forefront of the organization.

You will have a strong background in effective project management and development of communications to a wide variety of audiences.  Furthermore, you will be able to apply good communications principles to the work that you do across a wide mix of media to internal and external stakeholders.

A strong team player and a natural leader, you will know how to motivate and galvanize people around you to a common purpose.  You will also be articulate, have strong written and presentation skills and be able to present well reasoned, rational arguments with integrity and purpose.

Taking on ownership of specific strategic campaigns, you will be adept at holding an overall strategic objective in mind, whilst also being able to ensure precision and accuracy in all campaign related communications. You should also be able to demonstrate the ability to effectively manage budgets and third party suppliers.

Fundamentally, the successful applicants will have solid project management experience with a track record of NGO campaign management and/or delivering communications campaigns. You should, therefore, be able to demonstrate how you have thrived in a fast-paced, demanding and sometimes unstructured environment, delivering innovation with integrity, energy and passion!
